The whole house, not one room

This was a full remodel. The kitchen and dining room were opened into one space, every bedroom and bathroom was reworked, and the basement went from a dirt floor and open framing to finished, conditioned living space with its own bathroom.

The basement was the hard part

The before photos show what we started with down there: exposed joists, open mechanical runs and no floor to speak of. Getting it dry and level came first. Everything else was ordinary carpentry once that was solved.

What the finished house does differently

The main floor is the clearest change. From the island you can see the dining table, the fireplace, and straight through to the living room. This is a sightline that did not exist before and the single biggest difference between the before and after photographs.
